SOLID GROUND CHASSIS BUNG
The #1 problem that develops with hot rod electrical systems is with the battery ground cable where it connects to the chassis. It loosens up, corrodes and creates a poor contact condition. This situation creates complete havoc with your vehicles electrical system. The RIRC Solid-Ground Chassis Bung eliminates this problem forever.
Each bung measures 1" long x 1" O.D. while the body section that slides into the chassis is 7/8" O.D.. They are machined from c1018 steel and come with an ARP 3/8" polished stainless steel stud, flat washer and nylok nut. They easily install into any chassis by drilling a 7/8" hole and welding it in place.
A typical street rod requires (2) Solid-Ground CHassis Bungs to be installed. One for the engine ground cable and the other for the battery ground cable.
So RIRC says "be sure your electrical system is safe and on Solid -Ground"!
